One of my college classmates takes on celebrity - this probably adds to our conversation.

Apparently scientists have studied apologizing.

I could have told people this in 2012!

1. But what was their intent?  I think there's a principle that people are starting to develop that holds that you're not allowed to make fun of a culture or race unless you are a part of it.  It makes some sense as a presumption, but I wonder whether it's going too far.

6. Those apps probably do more to level the playing field and eliminate great finds than anything else.  It takes all the benefit out of pounding pavement.
