Where was this when I was in school??? I spent so many days bored out of my mind because I finished the assignment early or I already understood what the teacher was saying, making it hard to pay attention, that I eventually just grew to hate school. (This made the transition to college so much harder.) Here is a Ted Talk on the subject.
Here's the lesson to your kids, parents: if you are struggling to compete with your peers, just complain to the authority (government, boss, etc.) and you don't have to worry about working harder!
